Ug. Shs. 2.1b Ug IFT Project Launched at St. Paul’s SS Pakanyi, Masindi district

The Pastoral coordinator Hoima Catholic Diocese, Rev. Fr. Paul Bigirwa has lashed at people who are amassing wealth at the expense of service delivery, while presiding over Mass at the launch of a Shs. 2.1b Ugift Project at St. Paul’s SS Pakanyi, Miirya Subcounty, Masindi district on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.

Fr. Paul castigated the majority who are occupying places of responsibility, but only to suck community resources at the expense of the world’s majority poor.

He noted that worldly possessions if not prudently harnessed bring with them curses to the corrupt.

The area member of parliament Buruuli county who lobbied the project cautioned contractors on shoddy work, mindfulness of local content and adequate remuneration to casual labourers.

With this grant, government will construct one administration block, four classrooms, an physics and biology laboratory block, an ICT laboratory, 2 units staff quarters, 2 aligned latrines, a production water well, a demonstration farm, and a standard Sports ground.

Hon. Aled Ronald Akugizibwe is at the forefront of lobbying for other three projects of Seed schools amounting to Ug. Shs. 6bn in his county.
A seed school will also be built in Kinumi (Shs 1bn), another in the new subcounty of Labongo (Shs 2bn) and the other in Kijunjubwa s/c (Shs. 3bn).

The function was graced by Honourable Members of Parliament (Aseera Stephen Itaza – Buhaguzi East, Kenneth Kiiza Nyendwoha – Bujenje), Dr. Cosmas Byaruhanga LCV Chairperson, the RDC Masindi, Fr. Patrick Museveni the Board of Governors Chairperson, other dignitaries and members of the community.

St. Paul’s SS Pakanyi is a government Aided Catholic founded school established in 1982 by Msgr. Bonaventure Kyaligonza, then Parish Priest Sacred Heart Parish, Nyamigisa.
